ACGME Names Chief Information Officer
Bruce A. Metz, PhD, CHCIO will join the ACGME as its first Chief Information Officer (CIO) in January 2020. Dr. Metz will lead creation of an organization-wide information services strategy and oversee the Applications and Data Analysis and Network Services teams. Read more.
ACGME Tools and Resources for Resident and Faculty Member Well-Being
The ACGME’s Task Force on Physician Well-Being Tools and Resources Subcommittee created a compendium of materials and other references for residents and faculty members as a resource for well-being, wellness, and related tools. The ACGME is introducing additional well-being tools, including resources in its Learn at ACGME online learning platform, such as apps and podcasts. Read more.
Status of Applications to the ACGME
Table 1 provides a brief snapshot of the status of ACGME applications through the single accreditation system as of November 21, 2019. The data are pulled from the ACGME Accreditation Data System (ADS) public site. These data only capture applications of programs and institutions through the single accreditation system process and do not include programs that may have been previously ACGME accredited, such as dually-accredited programs.
