National Healthcare Decisions Day to be Held April 16

The 4th Annual National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) will be held on April 16 to inspire, educate and empower the public and providers about the importance of advance care planning. Because studies indicate that the majority of Americans have not planned for the possibility of one day not being able to make their own decisions regarding their health care, NHDD seeks to educate Americans about planning for this potential time of life. The NHDD initiative is a collaborative effort of national, state and community organizations committed to ensuring that all adults with decision-making capacity in the United States have the information and opportunity they need to communicate and document their health care decisions.
