Grants Available for DOs and Students in Areas Stricken by Natural Disaster

Through donations from the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF), the Osteopathic Family Relief Fund (OFRF) has been created to provide financial assistance to osteopathic physicians and osteopathic medical students whose clinics and/or homes have been damaged by natural disasters. Eligible applicants for grants include osteopathic physicians or students living in counties that have been declared federal disaster areas by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Already this year, six states have counties that been declared federal disaster areas: Kentucky, Oregon, Washington, Indiana, Tennessee and West Virginia.

To apply for a grant, or to make a tax-deductible donation, visit the Osteopathic Family Relief Fund web page.
