Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation Offers Scholar Opportunities to Faculty Members
The Macy Faculty Scholars program, administered by the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation, is designed to identify and nurture the careers of educational innovators in medicine and nursing. The program will provide up to five medical and nursing educators each year with salary support of $100,000 per year over two years, giving them protected time to pursue educational reform projects at their home institutions. Recipients also will receive career development support.

Paul Ambrose Scholars Program Application Deadline Approaching
The Paul Ambrose Scholars Program exposes health professions students to influential public health professionals and prepares them to be leaders in addressing population health challenges at the national and community level. Scholarship recipients will attend a leadership symposium June 21-24, 2012, in Washington, DC, and will conduct a community-based health education project at their institution. The deadline for the 2012 Scholars Program is February 6, 2012. Applicants must be students of medicine (DO or MD), dentistry, graduate nursing, graduate physician assistant, pharmacy, or doctoral physical therapy at an accredited U.S. institution to be eligible.
