The 23rd Annual Osteopathic Medical Education Leadership Conference (OME XXIII) will be held January 4-6, 2013, at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona. The theme of this year’s conference is “Patient Safety: Addressing the Training Gap.” The conference will be co-chaired by Peter B. Dane, DO, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM), and J. Michael Finley, DO, Academic Officer at the Western University of Health Sciences/College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (WesternU/COMP).
Keynote speakers include John B. Bulger, DO, FACOI, FACP, Associate Chief Academic Officer and Director of Medical Education at Geisinger Health System; Franklin Medio, PhD, President at Consulting Services for the Health Professions; and Andreas Theodorou, MD, Chief Medical Officer at the University of Arizona Medical Center and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Arizona.
