The Healthy People 2020 initiative has been supporting the achievement of a broad set of national objectives for improving America’s health since its launch in 2010. There are nearly 600 of these wellness objectives, which are organized into a 10-year program set to conclude in year 2020
In an effort to keep readers connected with the program’s initiatives and offer relevant, up-to-date information, Healthy People 2020 hosts one or more monthly webinars, each focused on various current leading health issues based on its 10-year program. In September, Healthy People 2020 held two webinars. The first of these webinars, entitled “Who’s Leading the Leading Health Indicators? Social Determinants of Health,” focused on the personal, social, economic and environmental factors that contribute to individual and population health. The second webinar, entitled “Spotlight on Health Webinar: Bullying Among Adolescents,” educated participants about modern adolescent bullying and prevention techniques. Archived versions of both webinars will be made available on the Healthy People 2020 website.
