The National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators (NAOME) is now accepting applications for Fellows of the Academy. Individuals demonstrating sustained outstanding academic excellence for at least the previous five years and who wish to advance the osteopathic medical education (OME) community at the national level are encouraged to apply.
Fellows must demonstrate meaningful contributions at the local and national levels in one of the following categories: teaching and evaluation, education research, education leadership, or the development of enduring educational materials. NAOME Fellows set the direction for AACOM’s important national work in advancing osteopathic medical education through their own scholarship, and jointly by:
- Evaluating presentation proposals for the AACOM Annual Conference
- Providing peer review and award recommendations for the AACOM Educational Research Abstracts for grants and awards
- Serving as mentors for peer and colleague osteopathic medical educators
- Selecting new Fellows to the Academy
Interested applicants can access information and application documents at AACOM’s NAOME application page. NAOME encourages applicants to request a mentor to help guide them through the application process. Application materials are due October 17, 2019.
