pace is still available for the Interprofessional Education Collaborative's (IPEC) Fall 2015 IPEC Institute, to be held October 7-9 at the Dulles Hyatt in Herndon, VA. Under the popular theme “Interprofessional Education: Building a Framework for Collaboration,” faculty teams are invited to come together for a guided educational experience and team-based planning activities in order to learn how to implement projects that advance IPE curricula, student assessment, clinical training, and population health experiences. Those interested in attending the upcoming faculty development institute are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
The purpose of this upcoming institute is, through team-based planning activities and consultation with experts and peers, to help teams produce a programmatic action plan for implementing IPE at their home institution.
Learning objectives for the institute are as follows:
- Identify resources and commitments necessary to facilitate IPE at one’s institution
- Examine best practices in IPE curriculum planning and design for use in one’s program
- Create learner assessment strategies in IPE
- Develop faculty skills in IPE
- Communicate the team’s IPE objectives to decision makers
