On February 2, Konrad C. Miskowicz-Retz, PhD, CAE, announced his plan to retire from the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). After 26 years at the AOA, Dr. Miskowicz-Retz will depart from his position as Associate Vice President of Accreditation, effective April 1—the same day he began his professional career in osteopathic medicine as Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNTHSC/TCOM) in 1983.

During his 32 years of outstanding service to the osteopathic medical profession, Dr. Miskowicz-Retz also served as the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) Secretary since 1996.

AACOM extends its best wishes to Dr. Miskowicz-Retz in his retirement and commends him for his many professional accomplishments and years of successful leadership in the osteopathic medical community. Dr. Miskowicz-Retz is working with the AOA on succession plans as the nationwide search to identify his replacement begins.
