Introducing AACOM's First Osteopathic Health Policy Intern for 2016

assandre Marseille began her Osteopathic Health Policy Internship (OHPI) with AACOM at its new Government Relations office in Washington, D.C. on Monday, January 4. Cassandre, a fourth-year student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine-New York (TouroCOM-NY), is AACOM’s first OHPI for 2016.

Cassandre (pictured at right) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master of Biology and Physical Sciences from TourCOM-NY. She has served as President and Region I Trustee of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA), as well as Legislative Affairs Coordinator for the American Medical Association (AMA). Additionally, Cassandre has served as a representative on TouroCOM-NY’s Admissions Committee and Student Government Association.

Cassandre joined AACOM’s Government Relations team on Monday, January 4. She plans to focus her health policy research on medical student loan debt and analyze plausible policy measures to help address this issue. Cassandre’s internship will last through February 26.
