On October 6, 2015, AACOM welcomed Stephanie D. Wurth
as its new and first-ever Director of Application Services, Recruitment, and Student Affairs. In this new role, Ms. Wurth will exercise her more than 16 years of experience in application services, recruitment, and student affairs to head the development of an association-wide recruitment strategy.
Ms. Wurth (pictured at left) comes to AACOM from her previous position as the Director of Admissions and Student Diversity at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, bringing new ideas and a fresh perspective to the management and administration of AACOM’s recruitment, applications, and student affairs programs.
Through collaborative work with AACOM staff and leadership, and its member colleges and councils, Ms. Wurth will lead recruitment and other related efforts in support of the Association’s mission. Ms. Wurth will oversee AACOM’s recruitment activities and the AACOM Application Service (AACOMAS), and will serve as liaison to AACOM’s Council of Medical Admissions Officers (COMAO) and the Council on Student Affairs (CSA) (formerly COMSSO).
In her first three months at AACOM, Ms. Wurth has already represented the Association at our member colleges of osteopathic medicine (COMs), as well as various national conferences and health professions recruitment activities around the country.
Ms. Wurth has a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Strategic Communications degree and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership degree from Western Kentucky University.
