On Thursday, October 25 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM ET, AACOM and the Health Resources & Service Administration’s National Health Service Corps (NHSC) will host a webinar on applying to and qualifying for the Students to Service Loan Repayment Program (S2S LRP).
The S2S LRP provides up to $120,000 to fourth-year medical and dental students who are pursuing degrees in primary care and committed to practice in underserved communities. In addition to funding, it gives students access to a professional mentoring network to help make connections with other clinicians. Upon completion of the training, NHSC helps awardees find a job at one of thousands of NHSC-approved sites nationwide. Eligible clinicians may be able to pay off all qualifying student loans through continued service once their initial commitment is complete.
Participants will also learn about other NHSC funding programs, including their Scholarship, Loan Repayment, and State Loan Repayment Programs.
Webinar participants will be able to speak with NHSC officials about program requirements, financial benefits, resources, and other information needed to apply to the program. Medical students interested in practicing in primary care in underserved communities are encouraged to participate.
