Three Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Look to Establish New Teaching Sites

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA)’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) recently publicized accreditation decisions for the following three schools:  

For Lincoln Memorial University—DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) COCA granted the request for a substantive change to establish an additional location in Knoxville, TN, with an increase in the approved class size, subject to further review of a comprehensive site visit report at the August 2018 meeting. For Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), COCA granted a substantive change request to establish an additional location in Elmira, NY, with an increase in the approved class size, subject to LECOM’s receipt of New York state authorization and a pre-operational site visit. For Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (OSU-COM), COCA granted a substantive change request to establish an additional location in Tahlequah, OK, with an increase in the approved class size, subject to a pre-operational site visit.
