The Joint AACOM & AODME 2017 Annual Conference
, April 26-29, is now accepting abstracts under the theme Educating Leaders for Integrated Health Systems
. Within the context of a rapidly changing health care environment, graduate medical education (GME) is also undergoing an evolution spurred by the single GME accreditation system (SAS).
Individuals interested or involved in the SAS transition are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts to this year's program. Similarly, those with experience in both AOA and ACGME accreditation systems (such as dually-accredited programs) are also urged to submit abstracts.
SAS-focused submissions are sought to contribute unique insights and experiences into this timely and pervasive topic with the goal of sparking valuable ideas, questions, peer-to-peer learning, and dialogue.
Suggested SAS-focused subtopics include (but are not limited to):
- Institutional Accreditation
- Program Evaluations
- Scholarly Activity
- Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER)
- Osteopathic Recognition
