For academic year 2021-22, the total number of federally funded financial aid awards with a service commitment is 2,062 totaling a dollar amount of $96,530,119.  This is a financial aid award increase of 8.6 percent or a difference of 164 awards and a total dollar amount increase of 19.0 percent or a difference of $15,400,878 when compared to academic year 2020-21.  

The total number of student recipients for federally funded financial aid awards with a service commitment for academic year 2021-22 is 1,659 which is an increase of 13.5 percent or a difference of 197 student recipients when compared to academic year 2020-21. For academic year 2021-22, 4.7 percent of total students enrolled received federally funded financial aid awards with a service commitment.

The total number of federally funded financial aid awards with a service commitment for private colleges of osteopathic medicine (COMs) is 1,629 totaling a dollar amount of $83,172,109 and 433 for public COMs totaling a dollar amount of $13,773,517.  For private COMs, this is a financial aid award increase of 6.9 percent or a difference of 105 awards and a total dollar amount increase of 15.6 percent or a difference of $11,208,564 when compared to academic year 2020-21. For public COMs, this is a financial aid award increase of 15.8 percent or a difference of 59 awards and a total dollar amount increase of 50.1 percent or a difference of $4,607,821 when compared to academic year 2020-21. 

The total number of student recipients for federally funded financial aid awards with a service commitment for private COMs is 1,446 and 213 for public COMs. For private COMs, this is an increase of 13.0 percent or a difference of 166 student recipients when compared to academic year 2020-21. For public COMs, this is an increase of 17.0 percent or a difference of 31 student recipients when compared to academic year 2020-21.  For academic year 2021-22, 4.9 percent of total students enrolled at private COMs received federally funded financial aid awards with a service commitment while 3.8 percent of total students enrolled at public COMs received federally funded financial aid awards with a service commitment.
