The AACOM Clinical Education Transformation Working Group has compiled curriculum elements and resources for fourth-year medical students as they prepare to transition to residency. The resources include selected curriculum elements linked to Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) and resources to help students and faculty assess and review the content. The resources are organized by EPA, highlighting the minimum threshold a student is expected to achieve for each EPA, and where possible, rubrics, check-lists, videos and other resources are included. The main focus of these resources is on the graduating physician and not specific to a specialty. Resources will continue to be added or refreshed.

To access the resources, follow the following steps:

  1. Go to moodle.aacom.org, click on the blue "Click Here to Login to Portal" button and sign up for an AACOM account or login with your AACOM credential (email address and password)
  2. Fill out the form that pops up after you login
  3. Click on the link that will be sent to your email
  4. Finally, send an email to helpdesk@aacom.org to request access to the Residency Readiness resources.
The full content for the Residency Readiness Resources course is now available as a course cartridge download that you can upload or import into your own learning management system. If you would like to download the course cartridge (in the IMS Common Course Cartridge 1.1. format), please follow the steps above, then login and download the file directly from within the course.
