2022 Residency Match; Educating Leaders 2022

Congratulations to all those who participated in this year’s residency match. Overall, programs and medical students had a successful match, the highest to-date for osteopathic medical students with a record-setting 91.3 percent match rate. At the recent AOGME membership discussion in March, the group shared feedback on the changes to the Supplemental Offer Acceptance Program schedule and its impact on residency programs and students. ACGME/AOGME Osteopathic Recognition Pre-Conference Workshop

The virtual ACGME/AOGME Osteopathic Recognition Pre-Conference Workshop was held on March 30. During the workshop, participants heard from directors of osteopathic education, osteopathic faculty, residents, ACGME Milestones and field staff and more. Sessions covered topics including the value of Osteopathic Recognition, curriculum for Osteopathic Recognition that addresses the needs of both osteopathic and allopathic residents, utilizing book clubs to incorporate osteopathic philosophy in residency, milestones, AOGME updates and more. View the workshop agenda.

Educating Leaders 2022: The AACOM Annual Conference

The AACOM Annual Conference will be held on April 27-29 in Denver, CO. This year’s conference will be a hybrid event, held both in-person and online. The AOGME will host an in-person reception on Thursday, April 28 at 5:30 PM MT and will recognize 2020-2022 Collegium of Fellows inductees and award recipients. During the conference, AOGME will host the following sessions: GME Finance, Best Practices for Programs with Osteopathic Recognition and Graduate Osteopathic Training: One Programs Innovations for Success. The Annual AOGME Business meeting is rescheduled and will be held on May 25 at 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET. The business meeting will include updates from the AOGME Board, confirmation of election results and open discussion among members.
