Examine the proportion of students admitted from applicants, changes in the matriculation rate over the previous five years and compare these metrics across other COMs.
Identify trends among accepted applicants who hold multiple COM acceptances and assess attrition patterns (melt count) over time.
Project the size of your COM’s applicant pool to 2030, compare growth forecasts with AACOMAS-wide data and analyze growth by residency and region.
Track changes in the gender, race and ethnicity composition of the applicant pool over time.
Analyze the distribution of GPA and MCAT scores within your institution’s applicant pool, with comparisons to prior years and other COMs.
Understand the geographic origins of students, identify key feeder schools and review the GPA and MCAT scores of students from these schools.
Monitor application volume, including applicants to your COM, applicant overlap with other COMs and weekly trends. Track the cumulative applicant count across AACOMAS cycles for your COM and nationwide.
