AI Hub Terms of Use

The following terms of use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the artificial intelligence ("AI") tools, resources, information, sample documents and related content (collectively, the "AI Resources") made available on this page and any associated pages of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine ("AACOM") website.
By clicking an “I Agree,” “I Accept,” “Accept,” “Sign” or similar button or checkbox presented with these Terms, or by accessing or using the AI Resources, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not access or use the AI Resources.
Informational Purposes Only — No Professional Advice
The AI Resources are provided by AACOM solely for general informational and educational purposes to assist users in understanding and evaluating AI technologies and implementation strategies. Nothing contained in the AI Resources constitutes, or is intended to constitute, legal advice, technology advice, regulatory compliance guidance or any other form of professional advice. The AI Resources, including any sample policy documents, playbooks, implementation guides or other materials made available on this page, should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with qualified legal counsel, information technology professionals, compliance officers or other appropriate advisors. You are solely responsible for evaluating the applicability and suitability of any AI Resource to your particular circumstances, and AACOM strongly encourages you to seek independent professional advice before adopting or implementing any tool, policy, document or practice referenced herein.

THE AI RESOURCES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AACOM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, COMPATIBILITY AND TIMELINESS. AACOM DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE AI RESOURCES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT ACCESS TO THE AI RESOURCES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE OR THAT ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED FROM AACOM OR THROUGH THE AI RESOURCES SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS.
Accuracy and Currency of Information
AI technology, regulation and best practices are evolving rapidly. Although AACOM endeavors to provide AI Resources that are useful and relevant, AACOM makes no representation or warranty that the information, tools, sample documents or other content included in the AI Resources are current, complete, accurate or up to date at the time they are accessed. Information that was accurate at the time of publication may have become outdated or superseded by subsequent developments in technology, law or regulation or industry practice. AACOM is under no obligation to update the AI Resources and assumes no responsibility for any failure to do so. You should independently verify any information contained in the AI Resources before relying on it.
Third-Party Tools, Products, and Links
The AI Resources may reference, describe, list, or provide links to AI software, systems, platforms, tools, products, or services that are developed, owned, and operated by third parties. AACOM does not develop, control, maintain or operate any such third-party tools or services, and AACOM has no authority or control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, functionality, privacy practices, security, terms of use or any other aspect of any third-party tool, service or website. Your use of any third-party tool or service is at your own risk and is subject to the terms, conditions and policies established by the applicable third-party provider. Any questions, concerns, complaints or claims relating to a third-party tool or service should be directed to the relevant third-party provider. AACOM shall have no liability arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of any third-party tool, product, service or website.
No Endorsement
The inclusion, listing, description or reference to any AI tool, software, product, service, vendor or resource within the AI Resources does not constitute, and should not be construed as, an endorsement, recommendation, approval or certification by AACOM of such tool, product, service, vendor or resource. AACOM provides listings and descriptions of AI tools and resources for informational purposes only, and the presence or absence of any particular tool or resource does not reflect a judgment by AACOM as to its quality, suitability, reliability or fitness for any particular use.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AACOM, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES OR REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES—INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL OR ECONOMIC LOSS—ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, RELIANCE ON OR INABILITY TO USE THE AI RESOURCES, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, STATUTE OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF AACOM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE AI RESOURCES IS TO DISCONTINUE YOUR USE OF THEM.
Use of Sample Documents and Materials
The AI Resources may include sample policy documents, playbooks, templates, implementation guides or similar materials. These materials are provided as general reference resources only and are not tailored to the specific legal, regulatory, operational or institutional requirements of any particular user. Any sample document or template should be thoroughly reviewed, customized and approved by qualified legal counsel, compliance personnel and other appropriate stakeholders and advisors before adoption or implementation by you. AACOM accepts no responsibility for any consequences resulting from the use, adaptation or implementation of any sample document or material available through the AI Resources.
Intellectual Property
All content, materials and compilation of the AI Resources created by AACOM are the property of AACOM or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may access and use the AI Resources for your internal informational and evaluation purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works of the AI Resources for commercial purposes or for distribution without AACOM's prior written consent, except as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Indemnification
By accessing or using the AI Resources, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless AACOM and its officers, directors, employees, agents and affiliates from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of or reliance on the AI Resources, use of any third-party tool or service referenced in the AI Resources or your violation of these Terms.
Modifications to These Terms
AACOM reserves the right to modify, update or revise these Terms at any time and in its sole discretion. Any changes will be effective upon posting of the revised Terms on this page, and the "Effective Date" above will be updated accordingly. Your continued access to or use of the AI Resources after the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the AI Resources shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Maryland, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
