AACOM Maintains Momentum During August Recess Ahead of FAIR Act Anniversary

Through the August congressional recess, AACOM increased efforts to grow support for the Fair Access In Residency (FAIR) Act, H.R. 751. AACOM staff met with congressional offices in search of cosponsors in the House and a lead for a Senate companion bill. AACOM’s FAIR Act Coalition Support Letter also added new signers, including two health systems, and now lists 70 national and state organizations. With both chambers of Congress returning this week on the anniversary of the introduction of the FAIR Act, AACOM will continue to build on this momentum during AACOM Advocacy Day 2023.
