A Message to You, Our Osteopathic Medical Educators

It is so easy to lose track of the things that truly matter during a crisis; the one that has consumed our days for the past month or more is no different. But during this uncertain time, AACOM hasn’t lost track of your commitment to educating the next generation of osteopathic physicians—something we want to recognize during National Osteopathic Medicine Week!
We are so fortunate to have people talking about osteopathic medicine and what we contribute to the nation's health care system. Out of this awareness, we have an opportunity to create meaningful change for the good of patients—an opportunity rooted in your efforts to assure osteopathic principles and practice (OPP) become embedded into the mindset of today’s students.
It takes a lot of committed physicians to educate over 30,000 medical students. We are so proud of what you do to make a difference—with every student and every patient, every day. We are particularly proud of the difference you are making during this challenging time. There are so many stories from the health care community that demonstrate your commitment to something that is larger than each of us.
We thank you for what you do, and we celebrate the difference you make. Happy National Osteopathic Medicine Week!
