Published November 04, 2019

The Paul Ambrose Scholars Program prepares public health and clinical health professions students to promote change and become leaders in addressing population health challenges at the national and community level. Each year, the Paul Ambrose Scholars Program selects a cohort of 35 students from across the health professions to attend a Student Leadership Symposium. Students commit their time and effort to improve health within their communities through the planning and implementation of a community-based project. The Paul Ambrose Scholars Program helps students cultivate leadership and organizational skills in public health education outside the classroom.

Deadline for applications is Monday, December 2, 2019 at 11:59 PM ET.

This year’s symposium will be held Monday, March 2 - Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Scholars must be in attendance for the full length of the symposium. Please visit their website at www.aptrweb.org/pasp to learn more about the program and to access the online application.

The Paul Ambrose Scholars Program is sponsored by the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research. APTR is the national membership association for health professions institutions and faculty committed to advancing prevention and population health education and research.
