Dr. Cain Honored with 2021 AOA Presidential Citation

Each year, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) celebrates the inspiring and influential contributions of exceptional DOs, researchers and leaders during their House of Delegates meeting. This year, AACOM’s President and CEO Robert A. Cain, DO, was one of three recipients honored with an AOA presidential citation.
AOA presidential citations are awarded to individuals who “have dedicated a significant portion of their life’s work to shaping the future of the osteopathic profession by advancing osteopathic medical education, caring for medically underserved communities and relentlessly advocating for the betterment of DOs, osteopathic medical students and the patients they serve.”
Dr. Cain was selected for the honor because of his role in maintaining the distinctiveness and high quality of osteopathic medical education, as well as for his advocacy on behalf of medical students at both the state and federal levels.
