From Exposure to Competence: Building a Scalable, Longitudinal Ultrasound Pathway in Osteopathic Medical Education
During this one-hour live session, Tom Lindsey, DO, FACOS, CHSE, Associate Dean for Simulation & Medical Technology and Associate Professor of Surgery at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Ryan A. Anderson, DO, Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences and Director of Ultrasound at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine will provide a structured roadmap for integrating and sustaining point-of-care ultrasound across undergraduate osteopathic medical education. Drawing from real-world institutional experiences, they will deliver a deep implementation framework, structured curricular models, and practical competency-based assessment tools that translate ultrasound exposure into measurable proficiency.
