6 DO Schools Ranked Among Top in the Nation for Producing Primary Care Residents

Six of the top 10 medical schools that produce the most primary care residents are DO schools, according to a new ranking by U.S. News & World Report.
The report, "Which schools turn out the most primary care residents," shares enrollment, tuition, and application deadline information for each program listed. The percentage of graduates entering primary care specialties is based on a 2017 to 2019 average, according to the publication.
These six DO schools placed in the top 10:
- Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine
- William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine
- West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
- Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
- University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine
- Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia
