Residents & Fellows Council

The AOGME Residents and Fellows Council (RFC) was established in 2018 to develop future leaders in the osteopathic profession by creating a community and forum for residents and fellows to connect, collaborate and learn.

The AOGME RFC's purpose is to:

  • Provide a home for residents and fellows to come together, exchange ideas and network
  • Serve as a platform for residents and fellows to voice their ideas and concerns to GME leaders
  • Develop future leaders
  • Promote well-being along the continuum of GME
  • Support advocacy efforts that address the needs of medical trainees

AOGME’s Spotlight Series: Integrating Osteopathic Principles in GME

Apr 2, 2026, 12:13 by Alegneta Long
The inaugural Graduate Medical Education Finance Intensive Series will guide participants through the financial decisions that shape residency and fellowship programs.

AOGME is launching a new Spotlight Series as part of its ongoing efforts to highlight osteopathic training and strengthen osteopathic education within graduate medical education (GME).

This initiative features AOGME members as guest speakers who share how their programs integrate osteopathic principles into GME training. Each spotlight includes a brief presentation offering practical insights into how osteopathic medicine is incorporated within a program, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion with colleagues.

If you are interested in having your program featured in an upcoming spotlight, please contact us at AOGME@aacom.orgRegister for the spotlight sessions.
