Each year, AACOM releases its Osteopathic Medical College Tuition and Fees Report, which outlines information about first-year tuition and fees for in-state and out-of-state students and includes actual year-to-year changes, providing a historical perspective and trends.

AACOM collects data about the tuition and fees for each college of osteopathic medicine (COM) through its “Annual Osteopathic Medical School Questionnaire.” The latest Osteopathic College Tuition and Fees Report gives a breakdown of public and private COM first-year tuition and fees for the 2019-20 academic year, and provides the same set of annual data over the past decade for comparison.

Key findings from this year’s report include:

  • Several COMs raised their tuition this year; in-state median tuition increased by 3.0%, while out-of-state median tuition increased by 1.1%.
  • For tuition and fees, the in-state median increased by 3.4%, and the out-of-state median increased by 2.8%.
