On April 26-28, 2023, AACOM is hosting its annual Educating Leaders conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Featuring in-person and virtual sessions, Educating Leaders is the largest gathering of osteopathic medical education (OME) professionals in the nation. AACOM’s Government Relations Department is hosting two sessions at the conference, and we invite you to join us to increase your policy knowledge and make your advocacy more effective.
- Fighting for OME and Winning: Why Osteopathic Medicine Can and Must Advocate for Itself, April 26, 3:45 – 4:45 PM: Political experts and OME leaders will provide an overview of the latest events on Capitol Hill and recent AACOM priorities and victories. Panelists will also talk about their experience advocating for OME and how you can get involved.
- Washington Needs Help: How Osteopathic Medical Students Are Blazing a New Trail for OME Advocacy, April 27, 2:45 – 3:45 PM: Receive an “Advocacy 101” refresher from AACOM Government Relations staff and hear from osteopathic medical student leaders spearheading policy change and why they believe all students should join in.
