HRSA Accepting Applications for the Medical Student Education Program: Eligible osteopathic medical schools may now apply for HRSA’s Medical Student Education Program, which prepares and encourages medical students to choose residencies and primary care careers in rural, tribal or medically underserved communities. Priority is given to applications from universities in states with the greatest number of federally-recognized tribes and from public universities with demonstrated private-public partnerships. HRSA anticipates awarding $48 million to approximately 12 grantees over the course of four years. Applications are due by July 14, 2023, at 11:59 P.M. ET. HRSA Accepting Applications for the Faculty Loan Repayment Program: If you are a faculty member at a health professions school, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)’s Faculty Loan Repayment Program could provide you up to $40,000 in loan repayment assistance. In exchange, you commit to two years of full- or part-time service as a faculty member at an eligible school. The application closes Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 7:30 PM ET. Apply now.

HRSA Accepting Applications for Primary Care Training Enhancement – Language and Disability Access: A new funding opportunity is available for medical institutions to develop and train medical students to provide quality care to individuals with limited English proficiency and individuals with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Eligible applicants include schools of osteopathic medicine, accredited residency training programs and public or nonprofit hospitals. HRSA anticipates awarding $8 million to 16 recipients over five years. The application closes Monday, July 3, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET. Apply now.

HRSA Accepting Applications for the STAR Loan Repayment Plan: If you are a behavioral health clinician or support worker, clinical support staff or trained in substance use disorders, you can apply to the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) and receive up to $250,000 in loan repayment. In exchange, you must work full-time for six years in a STAR LRP-approved facility. The application closes Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 7:30 PM ET. Apply now.
