On October 17, 2023, AACOM will be welcoming congressional speakers and expert panelists to educate and train AACOM advocates on our first day of AACOM Advocacy Day 2023.
Representatives from AACOM’s lobbying partner and one of the capital’s leading law firms, Venable LLP, will share a deep dive into the federal budget and appropriations process. Senior Policy Advisors Rick Hegg and Sarah Donovan will discuss:
- The role and impact of the federal budget process
- Opportunities to use the budget process to advance COM and AACOM interests
- Techniques for effectively engaging Congress
The panelists will share 15 minutes of remarks, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A moderated by AACOM Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Health Affairs David Bergman, JD.
