Register Now! AOGME GME Development Pre-conference Workshop at Educating Leaders 2025, AACOM’s Annual Conference

Registration is now open for AOGME’s half-day pre-conference workshop at Educating Leaders 2025, AACOM’s annual conference, which will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 1:30–5:00 PM CT, in Arlington, Texas. The workshop will focus on GME development strategies in underserved and community-based settings. Participants will engage in interactive learning through case studies, small group work and discussions, gaining insights from national experts and taking home best practices and strategies for developing GME programs in their areas. Register Today: ACGME/AOGME Osteopathic Recognition Full-Day Course

AOGME is again partnering with the ACGME to deliver the Osteopathic Recognition (OR) Full-Day Course at the 2025 ACGME Annual Educational Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 20, 2025. This course is designed to support programs supports programs with OR and those considering OR. It includes sessions with leadership and residents from OR programs, followed by insights from the Osteopathic Recognition Committee on the recognition process and application of requirements. CMS Announces Third Round of 200 Partially Medicare-Funded Residency Slots to Underserved Communities

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced the third round of funding of 200 partially Medicare-funded residency slots to enhance healthcare access and address workforce shortages in underserved areas. Seventy percent of the new positions focus on primary care and mental health. Applications for additional residency slots under Section 126 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, will open in January 2025.
