Advocacy Awards GME GME Accreditation Military Medicine OME Advocate

BUCOM Wins AACOM Advocacy Day COM Engagement Competition: Baptist Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine (BUCOM) had the most students participate in AACOM Advocacy Day 2025! In recognition, their Student Government Association (SGA) was awarded $1,000 dollars, a prize that AACOM has granted to the COM that achieves the most AACOM Advocacy Day student involvement. AACOM thanks the BUCOM SGA and all participants for the record-setting participation in Advocacy Day 2025.

 

VA Issues Request for Proposal (RFP) for Its Pilot Program on GME and Residency: The RFP, offered as part of the 2018 VA MISSION Act, will provide information to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s Sponsoring Institutions about program requirements and procedures to apply for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Pilot Program on GME and Residency. The pilot provides funding to support residencies operated by the Indian Health Service, tribal organizations, Federally Qualified Health Centers and other facilities deemed eligible as rotation sites.
