- On November 19, 2025, the Senate Finance Committee voted 14-13 along party lines to advance Thomas Bell’s nomination for HHS Inspector General.
- The next day, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security voted to advance his nomination, 8-1.
- Bell will move forward in the Senate nomination process, which does not have a date set yet for the full Senate vote.
