Transitions in Medical Education - Professional Communication: How do I network?

The session, intended for first and second year students, will focus on networking skills, professional communication, and relationship building early in medical school.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Identify practical strategies for building and maintaining professional relationships with peers, faculty, mentors, and others throughout medical school.
• Demonstrate effective professional communication practices across common settings, including email, in-person conversations, conferences, and virtual interactions.
• Apply networking strategies to early career development, including seeking mentorship, making meaningful connections, and following up professionally after an initial interaction.
