Dr. Vivek Babaria, DO is a board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). He is the first osteopathic physician to join the Disc Sports and Spine Center in Newport Beach, California.      

Dr. Babaria pursued his medical education at the A.T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, he then completed PM&R residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland, an affiliate of Case Western Reserve University. He continued his training with an Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine Fellowship at OSS Health.  

During residency, he served as instructor in osteopathic manual medicine therapies at both regional and national levels. Dr. Babaria showcased his strong leadership skills by assuming the role of Chief Resident. In his fellowship training, he distinguished himself as a founding member of the Assembly of Osteopathic Graduate Medical Educators (AOGME) Resident and Fellow Council. Presently, he is gearing up to establish a Fellowship Program and also serves as adjunct faculty for the Long Beach primary care sports medicine fellowship. 

Dr. Babaria's influence extends beyond his clinical practice. He is deeply engaged in various societal initiatives, contributing extensively to published works and aiding in the establishment of industry-wide standards for safety and ethics in interventional spine care. His expertise is sought after by prestigious organizations where he serves on multiple committees, including the Spine Intervention Society, North American Spine Society, and Pacific Spine and Pain Society. Additionally, Dr. Vivek plays a pivotal role as a faculty member within the Empower Your Chronic Pain Foundation, further demonstrating his dedication to enhancing patient care and well-being. 

Outside work, Dr. Babaria finds joy in both family time and a range of sports, such as basketball, volleyball, baseball, and football. He's an outdoors enthusiast, equally at home by the water or on hiking trails. Notably, he takes pride in his basketball skills and happily shares stories of his pickup game triumphs.
