2021-22 Osteopathic Medical College First-Year Enrollment by Gender and Race/Ethnicity

Enrollment Gender Osteopathic Medical Colleges Race/Ethnicity Research Reports Students Trends

First-year enrollment for academic year 2021-22 is 9,775. This is an increase of 342 enrollees or 3.6 percent when compared to first-year enrollment for academic year 2020-21. 

Male enrollment decreased by 11 enrollees or 0.2 percent while female enrollment increased by 346 enrollees or 7.0 percent since academic year 2020-21. There was an increase of seven enrollees for the undisclosed category when compared to academic year 2020-21.

The underrepresented minority (URM) percentage for academic year 2021-22 is 12.2 percent when compared to 11.1 percent for academic year 2020-21.  This overall percentage increase is attributed to enrollment growth in the following URM categories: 

  • Hispanic/Latino increased by 86 enrollees or 13.3 percent.
  • Black/African American, non-Hispanic increased by 80 enrollees or 23.1 percent.
