This report on applicants (1977-2023) and matriculants (2009-2023) uses data from the AACOMAS application to summarize gender by entering year. Historically, the percentage of female applicants and matriculants has been increasing. In recent years, female applicants have consistently represented a higher percentage than male applicants. Similarly, the percentage of female matriculants has also increased, reflecting the trends seen in applicants.
Applicants:
- From 2019-2023, the percent of female applicants has ranged from approximately 51% to 58%.
- The highest percentage of female applicants was observed in the 2021-22 academic year at about 58%.
Matriculants:
- From 2019-2023, the percent of female matriculants has ranged from approximately 49% to 55%.
- The highest percentage of female matriculants was observed in the 2022-23 academic year at about 55%.
